These Palms are actually in the Giraffe enclosure at the Living Desert in Palm Desert. If you have not been you need to go. It is an awesome place and will really help you appreciate all the natural beauty we live with on a daily basis here in the Coachella Valley

I took this photo one afternoon in 2003. I was coming out of a condo I was looking at in 7 Lakes Country Club. It was hot! I was tired but this angle with the sun behind the Palms really captured my imagination. It has remained one of my favorite pictures ever since.
