Las Palmas is the large historic neighborhood just West of the main drive through town  Hwy 111 or Palm Canyon Drive.  Las Palmas is actually broken up into two neighborhoods Old Las Palmas and Vista Las Palmas  Very roughly the dividing line is Monte Vista which runs North to South with "Old LP" on the East side of that dividing line.
